POSTER MAKING COMPETITION

Tree House High School, Virar conducted a Poster/Slogan Making Competition in which Grade V to VIII students participated and made posters to create awareness on recent environmental issues and to portray their views on the ways to conserve our ecosystem.

THE INVESTITURE CEREMONY

It was a day of proud moments as the members of the student council were instituted on 3rd July, 2015.The smartly dressed student council greeted the Chief Guest, Principal Mrs. Shobhana Peradoor as each council member displayed a sense of responsibility, pride and solidarity.

The ceremony proceeded with the lightning of the lamp, prayer and song. The members of the student council did the March Past lead by the Head Boy and Head Girl of the school council. Our Chief Guest , our Principal, Shobhana P, handed over the sashes and badges to the newly appointed council members.

GURU POORNIMA CELEBRATION

Tree House High School, Virar celebrated Guru Poornima on the 31st of July,2015. The programme included a skit performed by the students of Grade V to VII. It depicted how Gautam Buddha transformed the life of Angulimal by his preachings. A song was presented by the school choir explaining the profound and important role of a guru in a student’s life.

BEST OUT OF WASTE COMPETITION

Best Out of Waste Competition was conducted on 31st July, 2015 for STD V TO VIII. Children were creatively engaged in making useful things out of waste material. They made innovative items from used plastic water bottles, CDS, wrappers, newspapers, straws, cartons etc. Preparing eco-friendly products out of waste material forms an important of our life. It helped in generating awareness to recycle our resources

FANCY DRESS/ROLE PLAY COMPETITION

Fancy Dress Competition was held on 14th August,2015 for Grade I and II on the theme “ Our National Heroes”. The competition was graced by the Principal Mrs. Shobhana Peradoor. Children were dressed in colourful costumes depicting different leaders and spoke about them. It was great to see the glimpse of our great leaders who sacrificed for our freedom.

INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION

The 69th Year of Independence was celebrated in THHS with great enthusiasm. The students of Grade III to VIII performed a dance drama displaying the freedom struggle of India. Students sang a patriotic song and gave speeches highlighting the importance and the need to celebrate this day.

GROUP SINGING COMPETITION

THHS conducted a house wise singing competition of patriotic songs on 24th August, 2015 for Grade VI to VIII. The children of Std VI to VIII witnessed the enthusiastic participation of the young talents. The songs were about the supreme sacrifice of the freedom fighters who paved the way for our freedom.

RAKHI MAKING COMPETITION

Rakhi making competition was held on 27th August in all spirit and fervour. The children made beautiful rakhis using different types of waste material which they used as decorative material for the rakhis.

NATIONAL SPORTS DAY CELEBRATION

A special assembly was conducted by the students and sports teachers of of THHS ON 31 ST August, 2015,to encourage the students and develop their interest in sports.          

FOOTBALL MATCH

Tree House High School organised an interhouse football match on 31 st August .2015 between the four housesRuby, Emerald, Sapphire and Topaz.It was Sapphire house who celebrated a moment of victory after winning the match.

FIELD TRIP

VENUE: HOLY PLACES

Tree House High School organised a field trip at Holy Places on 29th September, 2015 for the students of Grade I. They visited Holy Cross and Nirmal Church , Qubat mosque and Umadevi temple which was very old and famous for theirarchitectural grandeur and the message of peace and harmony.

HINDI DIVAS CELEBRATION

 Hindi Divas was celebrated on 30 th September to make the children realize and value the importance of our national language. Grade I to V had a Hindi Recitation competition and Grade VI to VIII had Hindi Extempore as a house wise competition.

GARBA CELEBRATION

On 15th October, 2015 there was Garba Celebration in Tree House High School for the children of Std I to V. This celebration was conducted with a motive to inculcate values like brotherhood, respect and celebration of all the festivals. The children dressed in beautiful ethnic attire took blessings of the Goddess, danced gracefully and thoroughly enjoyed the day.

On 15th October, 2015 there was Garba Competition In Tree House High School. The competition was House wise from Grade VI to VIII. This competition was conducted with a motive to inculcate values like brotherhood, respect and celebration of all the festivals. The winner of this competition was Emerald House. Children thoroughly enjoyed the day and participated in the competition with great zeal.
