It is our pleasure to introduce the Newsletter for the Academic Year 2015-16.
Through this we will be able to provide you with information about the proceedings of the school .So far our Academic year has been very interesting and hectic as we had many events happening both academic and co curricular. We worked for about a month in April with both the new and old children adjusting with the new set of books and classrooms. The academic year started with great enthusiasm. In the month of April, we had Hand writing competition, both in Hindi and in English. The students came up with wonderful ideas while writing.
With zeal and great excitement the school reopened in June after the Summer Vacation. The students were eagerly waiting to meet their friends and teachers after a long break.
To instill the culture the students celebrated the Ashadhi Ekadashi and Palkhi, by dressing up as the Warkaris and enacting them.
The parents got an opportunity to interact with the teachers during the Parent Teacher Meeting and put across their concerns on 7th July 2015. They gave their feedback at the end of the meeting. Such a platform is necessary to bridge the gap and work towards the child’s betterment.
The parents of pre-primary students enthusiastically participated in the Sing Along Session. For many toddlers it was their first stage performance, the tiny tots sang Nursery rhymes and the enthusiastic parents repeated the rhymes.
The shloka reciting competition was held for the primary. It was mesmerizing to see the children reciting so well.
Founder’s Day was celebrated on 30th July to mark the birthday of THHS MD Mr. Rajesh Bhatia. The day was celebrated with zest and enthusiasm. An array of activities was conducted to mark this occasion. Story books were distributed and Story Telling Competition was held.
Asset exam was conducted in the month of August. The students appeared for this exam in a confident manner. SOF (Science Olympiad Foundation) has been introduced this year.SOF is the biggest organizer of Olympiad exams in the world. Many children and parents have shown their interest towards it.
English and Hindi recitation competition was held in the school and children from Grade I to III participated reciting their poems enthusiastically.
Independence Day was celebrated with full vigour and enthusiasm. This was followed by singing of patriotic songs, speeches, dances and a skit showing the history of Indian Independence. The children of Grade I came dressed as national leaders and participated in a Fancy Dress competition.
Raksha Bandhan: Festivals play an important role in our lives , connecting us with our families and friends.At THHS we celebrate all the festivals apprising the children of their importance and the tradition related to them. Rakhi making activity was conducted to mark the celebration of Raksha Bandhan. The children made beautiful rakhis .
Janmashtami was celebrated enthusiastically on 4th Sept. The students had put up a show depicting incidents from Lord Krishna’s life. The significance of Dahi Handi was explained and the children broke the dahi handi forming a human pyramid. Devotional songs were sung.
We had Ganpati Celebrations during the assembly time where the students enacted a skit depicting the birth of Lord Ganesha .The importance of Ganesh Chaturthi was highlighted and Ganesh arti was performed.Our students made eco friendly Ganeshas.
Socio Dramatic Plays were performed on Water Cycle, Germination, Restaurant and Super Market. The set up was done accordingly.
